One of the most interesting Restored Irish Gardens, Loughcrew Gardens in
Oldcastle, Co. Meath, have been lovingly restored by successive generations of
the Naper family & now comprises a wealth of features for garden lovers of all
ages and tastes.
Loughcrew Garden Visitor Centre is the heart of the Loughcrew experience.
Modelled on a nearby classical gate lodge, the charming log-built reception
lodge provides a warm welcome, comfort & shelter; visitors can enjoy delicious
coffees, teas & light meals, with the emphasis on quality & friendly service.
Here you will find refreshment, shopping & comprehensive information on the
Gardens, St. Oliver Plunkett & the
Loughcrew Cairns.
Facilities
Car & coach park, toilets, tearoom, book & gift shop, photographic
display & education area.
Wheelchair access in the Centre (& Gardens) is excellent.

Children (supervised) are welcome & will be fascinated by the the spectacular
watermill cascade, hidden fairies & giant spiders, along with the Alice in
Wonderland sculptures.
Beside the shelter of the Coffee Shop, which has fascinating & original gifts
for children, there is a small playground with swings, slide, climbing frame &
games.
At Loughcrew Gardens, they believe in keeping children entertained & have
included many features to keep their interest. Loughcrew Gardens are ideal
for family outings or school groups; there are woodland walks, fairy statues &
colourful toadstools to be discovered.
